TECHNICAL AND BEHAVIORAL ASPECTS IN THE WORLD OF CINEMA AND TELEVISION
Teacher: Marcello Castiglioni
Level: basic and intermediate

On-set etiquette is essential for anyone wishing to work in the film or television industry. Knowing how to communicate with the right people, in the right way, and using the appropriate technical language is what distinguishes a true professional.
The course introduces students to the fundamental concepts, terminology, and practices needed to approach an international set with confidence and competence.
The teaching materials, in English, are taken from the official training programs developed in Canada by the actors' union (ACTRA) in collaboration with the Canadian Directors' Association (DGC) , and are used for the basic preparation of cast and crew in a professional setting.
During the course, students will discover how the complex machinery of audiovisual production works, structured according to a rigorous hierarchy and a highly codified technical language , often comparable to that of the military.
