No, it's not a dream — it's the INTERNATIONAL FILMMAKING AND ACTING SCHOOL.
International Filmmaking and Acting School - IFAS is an international summer training program in filmmaking and acting, entirely in English. Designed for young people from all over the world, it's for those who want to challenge themselves in front of or behind the camera, learning by doing.
The program is created by Accademia Cinema e Recitazione Toscana , a professional film and acting school based in Lucca, Italy, which has been training talents for over 10 years with a hands-on, creative approach to the world of cinema and performance.
Filmmaking Track
PROGRAM HIGHLIGHT
One-month immersive experience in filmmaking, covering screenwriting, directing, production, cinematography, editing, and acting.
Students gain hands-on experience, guided by industry professionals.
Multicultural environment that fosters creativity and teamwork.
The program spans four weeks, providing a comprehensive understanding of the filmmaking process, from pre-production to post-production, culminating in the creation of a short film.
Acting Track
PROGRAM HIGHLIGHT
Immersive, hands-on experience in screen acting over four weeks
Students delve into acting techniques, character development, and on-camera performance, guided by industry professionals.
Set in the picturesque city of Lucca, Italy, the program fosters creativity and collaboration in a multicultural environment.
Participants engage in intensive workshops, rehearsals, and filming sessions, culminating in a showcase of their work.
This comprehensive program is designed to enhance acting skills and provide practical experience in front of the camera.

How to Apply
The application process for the IFAS Programs is designed to be accessible, transparent, and focused on understanding the candidate’s motivation and potential.
Please be aware we have limited availability ad cannot accept all requests.
Step 1 — Submission of application materials
Candidates are invited to submit their application by sending a CV, a motivational letter and a portfolio. Previous professional experience in filmmaking is not required: the portfolio may include any creative work that reflects the applicant’s interests, vision, or artistic sensibility.
Step 2 — Admission interview
After reviewing the submitted materials, the IFAS team will contact the candidate to schedule an online interview. The purpose of this conversation is to better understand the applicant’s background, motivation, and goals, and to assess their suitability for the program.
Step 3 — Admission decision
Within one week of the interview, the candidate will receive a formal response regarding their admission. If accepted, they will be invited to complete the official enrollment procedure, by filling the downloadable application form.
Visa support (for non-EU residents)
For admitted candidates requiring a student visa, IFAS provides full support by issuing all the necessary official documentation for the visa application process, including the formal admission letter and related certificates. However, candidates are strongly encouraged to independently verify processing times and specific requirements with the relevant Italian consulate or embassy, as visa timelines may vary depending on the country of origin.

COURSE FEES

Standard Tuition: €4390
4 weeks of intensive filmmaking or acting course in English ( 5 days a week).
